A 2-hour class focusing on perfecting your podcast voice, interview skills, and technical abilities

Industry Overview

We'll discuss the different genres and formats of podcasts, with an emphasis on the talk-show and cohost-banter styles. We’ll also discuss how to stand out in this rapidly growing marketplace.

Being a Host

It’s more than merely talking about something you love – it’s about juggling your own curiosity with your guest’s comfort and your audience’s desires. We’ll discuss examples of hosts doing this well, and not-so-well, and how you could do it better.

The Technical Side

We’ll tackle the various equipment and software needed to podcast successfully, including microphones, digital audio workstations, podcast hosting services, listening applications, and more.

Branding and Marketing

Great content is only step one. We’ll show you how to create a killer podcast logo, find music (or create your own), establish yourself on social media, and engage with the podcasting community and help it grow, while your podcast grows with it.

Class Notes: Participants MUST have a working camera on their device to attend class remotely.
