Michael George has literally “done it all” when it comes to voice over. Having founded CMD in 1998, a VO casting, recording and post-production studio in NYC, he has been an engineer, mixer, producer, director, casting professional, voice actor and of course a teacher. Michael's unique background allows him to approach the craft of voice acting with a more holistic sensibility. He believes the most important role of a voice over teacher is to help actors find their most authentic voice. Michael's voice has been heard all over the world - his credits include Evian, Kia, Hilton, Dannon, Coca Cola, Disney, Motorola, The NBA, KRAFT and Citibank.
James Andrews is a veteran commercial voice actor whose talents are always in demand. James has voiced hundreds of television commercials for clients such as Lincoln, Toyota, BMW, Chevrolet, Wrigley’s, General Mills, McDonald’s, Samsung, TD Bank, Bosch, the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture and many more. He has also voiced corporate narration projects and e-learning modules and has done promo work for such prestigious brands as Smithsonian and Sundance Channels, and is also well known for his character and animation work as well as a wide variety of dialects. Prior to becoming a voice actor, James worked as a speech-language pathologist for several years. James has also taught English literature and ESL at Columbia University and The School of Visual Arts in New York City, and at the University of Toronto. His background in speech-language pathology completes the unique skill set that he brings to voice-over education. James lives in Toronto with his wife and two children.
"The Voice Shop is an excellent place to study! I took classes with them back in 2018, and they helped me record my first commercial demo reel too. I'd highly recommend working with Michael George! He's such a kindhearted teacher and mentor and gave me the best beginning to my voiceover career. And Jessica Schechter was also very kind in helping me navigate which courses to take and where to focus my study. Would highly recommend!"

"Mike's "Fundamentals of Voice Over" class was a great introduction into thinking about how to harness the power of your own voice. He had a clear and engaging way of presenting helpful examples, and he really encouraged our whole group to stretch the boundaries of our voices and learn things that might surprise us about the way we speak. His experience and expertise are evident in the way he teaches and help to create a great environment for learning."
